Kiss of Darkness
Practice with the darkness
Let her kiss you between the shoulder blades
Breathe in her stillness,
quieting your bones,
settling them like leaves into earth
Practice with the darkness
Let her hold you in your naked flesh
Spiral in to her embrace
Relaxing your belly,
Softening your body
like moss absorbing the rain
Practice with the darkness
Let her enshroud your mind
like forest mist
Dream with her emptiness
Releasing any plans,
have steaming tea with uncertainty
Practice with the darkness
Let her beat your heart with Winter’s drum
Love with her persistence
Staying with Truth,
Hibernate in this deepest Self love
Practice with the darkness
Let her marinate your spirit
Dissolve into her creativity
Inspiring your soul
Illuminated like the cold super moon on the darkest of nights
Practice with the darkness
Entering her womb space
May you embody the gifts offered by her
Dance of slowness
Intuition of blackness
Peace of silence
May you feel nourished by Winter’s presence—
Revitalized for whatever life’s wild Spring may bring
