Freedom
As if the leaf & the tree
Love so deep,
the need of each
becomes one & the same
As sun meets rain
drawn into thee
Up from generous roots,
down from starlight shoots
In devotion to keep —
To keep the Aliveness
for the tree rings
and spring bird sings
For the breath of you
and depth of our view
As if the green leaf unfurling
Already knows the gifts
in the autumn release,
feeding the roots
under winter snow
Already knows love so deep,
for Life itself to grow
A love so deep,
Yet so spacious
Freedom glows
As the sun meets the rain
Squinting for thus to see
Spectrum of rainbows again—
The Sacred diversity of Aliveness
To Love so deep, we are already released—
To Love so spaciously
for all beings to be free
May we live our hope with Nature—
with our love so deep, so free
