Money Tree

Planted with intention

At mouth of culvert creek

Shimmers catch my eyes

Jingling crisps of money tree

Suddenly, I am small again

Believing it’s name

And all it could bring

All it will change

If I were ever to spend its

Silvery paper coins, dangling

At the mouth of driveway creek

As if growing there only for me

Un-spendable, yet holding

The promise of value, forever

The childhood dream

Of running free, awakens

In my 50 year old bones—

An emancipation of younger self

All from the shimmers

Catching my intention~set free

Blessed be
